Liquid Bulk Zone

The Liquid Bulk Zone has a superficies of 21 hectares. Main customers and future prospects are focused on the transshipment, handling and storage of next generation transportation fuels. The first two phases include a maritime and rail infrastructure to facilitate 162.000m3 of tank storage. Construction starts the first of October 2009.

Main market segments will be part of the following clusters: bunkering services, home port customers, future fuels products/feedstock’s and outsourcing activities for domestic refineries.

In all four phases of the development of the liquid bulk zone identical services will be rendered. For example: agency services for coasters, trading of hydrocarbons and chemical commodities, multipurpose storage of liquid products and rail operating services.
This full service approach of Service Terminal Gijon 'STG' accelerates the future demand of customers. The intermediate position between Brasil, Argentina, Chili, Mexico and the ARA region makes 'STG' an agile business partner for professional liquid bulk logistics in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
